Looked at in percentage terms, of the 66 libraries in the system, Roe Jan Library is at the bottom of the list with only 31% of operating funds coming from local town taxes. The mean number is 87% which means half of the libraries in the system get more than 87% of their operating funds from local taxes and half get less than 87%. (There is one outlier town below us at 14% that is funded by the investment income from an endowment. )
